Wall Street professionals have a variety of college degrees and majors, but some are more lucrative than others.
Emolument, a salary-benchmarking website, gathered data on 2,800 finance professionals at the analyst, associate, vice president, director, and managing director levels and looked at which degrees earned them the most money.
At the more senior levels, one degree comes out on top, and it may not be the one you'd expect.
Masters of Science, rather than Masters of Business Administration, earn the most money at the VP, director, and managing director levels.
The data helps shed some light on how much Wall Streeters earn at various stages of their careers based on their college degrees.

The highest-paid analysts have MBA degrees. Of course, the majority of analysts only hold a bachelor's, rather than a master's, degree.
At the associate level, the highest earners have MBAs as well, followed by Masters of Finance.
Master of Science grads take home the highest salaries at the vice president level, followed closely by MBAs.
